EED · Energy Efficiency Directive
The EU Energy Efficiency Directive requires qualifying data centers to submit specified energy and sustainability data to the European database. Individual submissions are confidential; the Commission publishes aggregated Member-State/Union indicators, not a public database of facility records.

>1 MWEED Article 26(6) threshold: above this, use waste heat unless a cost-benefit assessment shows it is infeasible
≥500 kWEU EED data-center reporting threshold (~31 data points incl. PUE/WUE/ERF/REF; due 15 May annually)
15 Mayannual EED reporting deadline (prior calendar year); FY2023 first cycle was 15 Sep 2024
